Description:
ITBL (Information Technology Based Laboratory) project was started in 2001 as an e-Japan strategy by 6 research organizations (NIMS, NIED, JAXA, JAERI, RIKEN and JST) under the pact between MEXT and ITBL. The purpose is to operate versatile virtual research laboratory environment over a grid computing system through R&D activity related to HPC. ITBL users are running their applications over the system, connecting to 19 computer systems (325 Tflops performance in total) at the 9 organizations.
