- Optimizing Cluster Design for Maximum Application Performance
- Designing a cluster architecture around a given set of applications and / or users is key to ensuring maximum applications performance at the lowest price possible. ClusterVision helps its customers throughout EMEA by benchmarking their applications in varying environments, and obtaining the results needed to design the best cluster within a given set of requisites. A number of elements impact this decision making process, such as the right choice of hardware components (eg. CPUs, motherboards, memory..), different types of software (global file systems, compilers..), cooling systems (air vs water cooling) and more. Using real world examples, ClusterVision will explain how they use benchmarks to make this type of analysis and how variables such as power consumption and price lead to optimal cluster design as well as best case total cost of ownership.
